If someone is working on a Travel Iowa campaign, can we please not have it look like this? So many buzzwords, so boring (for a city that's actually cool), so little soul. This looks like someone vomited a brief into a video and called it a day.

Let's do something better for Des Moines. And steal tourists from our southern friends. (via.)

I must take one minute to defend the campaign (if not the video). This video was created to be projected on the wall during the unveiling of the new brand. It is NOT the commercial and will not be running on television. The TV spots, viral video and brand elements are much more clean and well done. Check out the CVA website for a much better representation...

Sure, that makes more sense. Intent for the content does matter. But everything you put on the net is an ad for your brand. If we can search "KC" and this comes up, then is is the ad. Sorry if that doesn't fit with your reality. That's just how things go these days.
