About This Opportunity

Help shape one of the world's strongest brands within Target's in-house
advertising agency. Develop innovative campaigns that increase brand awareness,
solidify guest loyalty and, ultimately, drive sales. Partner with internal and
external teams, bringing the "Expect More. Pay Less." brand promise to life. Use
your skills, experience and talents to further solidify Target as a leader in
retail.

As a Copywriter, you'll…

• collaborate closely with a art directors, designers, user experience
architects and your fellow writers.
• concept, present, revise and execute ideas for integrated campaigns including
print, in-store, radio, TV, environmental, event, guerilla as well as concept,
wireframe, prototype and launch web, mobile and social projects.
• participate in brainstorms and write copy that aligns with the Target voice,
all while staying current with the latest industry trends.
• multi-task effortlessly, juggling several projects across various business
categories, and make quick, timely decisions to meet project deadlines.
• assist in the preparation of presentation boards and keep project partners
well informed.
• select music and cast/direct voice talent.
• help create the new Target.com, launching in 2011.

Requirements

• Three to five years of writing experience in "traditional" and
"non-traditional" media types.
• Portfolio demonstrating the following skills:
• The ability to write headlines. Real headlines.
• Innovative conceptual thinking across various media types, including
interactive.
• Four-year College degree.
• Retail experience a plus.
