Description:

We're looking for a multi-talented designer who can use creative and intelligent visual design to support our mission: advancing humanity through the power of software.

In this role, you'll work on the Atlassian interactive marketing team alongside our art director, visual designers, writers, and web developers. Atlassian's brand is known for being creative, smart, funny, and original, and we're looking for the right designer to join the fun. You'll work on a wide range of digital and physical experiences, including our corporate site, sub-brands, ad campaigns, events, brand, apparel, April Fools jokes, infographics, and more.

What you'll do

Provide iterative improvements to our marketing and brand properties; proactively look for opportunities for improvement.
Present your ideas to a range of stakeholders, explain your rationale, and process their feedback.
Create and maintain a library of design and interface resources. Monitor industry trends and best practices.
Pivot between high-level messaging and branding work, to detailed design work.
Collaborate with designers on the marketing team, developers, product designers, researchers, copywriters, brand managers, product managers, and growth hackers.
Who we're looking for

You naturally put yourself in the user's shoes and instinctively advocate for the user.
You have a portfolio of work that shows a high attention to detail.
You understand a design's role in relation to both user and business objectives.
You can clearly and enthusiastically present your work, either in person or in written form.
You encourage feedback and outside perspectives on your work.
You've worked closely with web developers and can speak their language.
You have 3+ years experience designing for web and print.
You're a master at Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
You have a Bachelors degree in Design, User Experience, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
Bonuses: Experience in product design, illustration, motion design, HTML/CSS, in-house design, or experience with Atlassian products.
Atlassian who?

Atlassian is an 11-year old, rapidly growing software company with offices in Sydney, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and Gdansk. Our mission is to enable teams to advance humanity through the power of software with web-based applications that help software teams be productive and collaborative. Specifically, our apps – like JIRA, Confluence, HipChat, and Bitbucket, to name a few – enable teams to communicate, track projects, collaborate on content, and collaborate on code.

We're also proud of our company values - for a good take on those, read a new employee's recent blog post: The Atlassian values are real and not just PR bullshit.

We've become a more design-centric company with each passing year, and are excited to keep this momentum going. This role will have a unique opportunity to help drive that initiative forward. Learn more about Atlassian's culture of design from our product design team.

Our awesome new office has a fully stocked kitchen, beer and kombucha on tap, pool and ping pong tables, X-box, in-office yoga, espresso, juicers, bike amenities, showers, massage chairs... we could go on. We also have frequent company outings and events. Browse our website to find out more about life at Atlassian.
